Our Objectives
June 24, 2009- Build awareness of the needs of the people in Kenya
- Build awareness of The 410 Bridge’s mission and model in Kenya, as well as opportunities to serve.
- Ignite a spiritual awakening in the American church
- Provide opportunity for cross-cultural exchange through tour relations and events (host homes, concerts, choir excursions, etc); growing relationships and mutual cultural understanding.
- Allow Kenyan children to not only experience American culture, but also American spirituality and our role in the Kingdom of God, leading them to a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Allow Kenyan children the opportunity to grow in confidence and learn leadership skills for the benefit of the nation of Kenya.
- Raise funds to support the vision and purpose of The 410 Bridge, including projects and partnerships affecting the children of the Daraja Children’s Choir
Our Purpose
June 24, 2009To Glorify and Worship God by igniting in the body of Christ the passion to give, grow, and serve each other across cultures/cultural bounds
- Inspire Americans to give go or serve the nation of Kenya
- Inspire Kenyans with a partial global perspective (spiritually and culturally) to give, go, and serve Americans
Who We Are
June 24, 2009The Daraja Children’s Choir of Africa is essentially an international Hope Exchange. Just like a gift exchange or a student exchange program, we each have something to offer the other.
Out of the most desperate of circumstances, these children possess unbelievable amounts of hope–which they offer freely through their songs, laughter, joy and incredible passion for the Lord.
In exchange, we can offer them hope for their future. Traveling with the Daraja Children’s Choir gives them the chance to broaden their horizons, widen their world-perspective, deepen their leadership skills, and open the scope of their imagination. We invest in their future and the future of the nation of Kenya.
